How to Be a Successful Sports and Entertainment Lawyer

Most clubs have around three in-house lawyers now. We're about average, but we definitely rely on each other to fill in the gaps. The way we operate is that the business person really owns the deal and we provide all the legal advice. I've known many people who have gotten into the sports industry and it's taken five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten years before they got there.
