How Do You Think About Routines in a Modern Classroom?
Routines in a modern classroom are all about empowering kids to be, you know, in the driver's seat. So i hear a lot of teachers struggle with class room management. The first thing i ask is, do you have a welcome routine? Is there something you have in place so students come into your physical class room and they know what they're supposed to do? And then at the end of class, how are we creating closure? Are we using that last kind of activity to collect formative assessment data or encourage reflective practice?
