How to Be Strategic in Reading
Peter Arch: Do all strategies want to be skills? Is that what you're saying? Well, it's not necessarily. But if we think about the student's reading development, like elementary school to middle school to high school, curricular are structured with the assumption that kids are going to be becoming more and more proficient in reading every grade. And as quickly as we can move kids to skillful use of that approach to reading, which is actually strategies working at a very efficient and fast pace, the better it is for them.
