The History of the Education Myth

In the 70s and 80s, education was seen as a key part of social democracy. The idea that human capital is more important than educational opportunity seems to have died out in recent years. But Coretta Scott King pushed for jobs guarantees after her husband's murder. Do we still see these things today? I don't know if when I'll be able to get to writing about them.
