The Uncanny Valley

I really liked what they were going for in those rewind sequences where it was like the rotating, you know, almost like a zotrope. But yeah, then the people were the inhabitants of thatZotrope were all these weird CG almost video game people. Like even the sandwich shop guy gets a weird creepy CG version of himself. It leans into this like video game aesthetic that well,. Particularly when you bring in like Christopher Reeve, it's just like, that's not really him. Right? I can't tell you specifically what's wrong with it, but something's wrong where they should have made it more weird animation.
