Comedians Are Always Trying to Make Their Audience Co-Conspirators

Comedians are always trying to make their audience co conspirators in some way. The laughter comes from letting the audience connect the dots, not from you walking them all the way to the punch line. And so i think what seems so neat and so brave about what the comedians like the people we spoke to, not like chapelacos, because o but they have to just constantly assume that they can stitch together some understanding with a room full of strangers.
