Hootie and the Blowfish

Bob Greene: Hootie and the Blowfish were unstoppable when they won a Grammy in 1996. He says their follow-up album, Fairweather Johnson, opened big but didn't live up to its predecessor. The band performed an obscure alt-rock song called I Go Blind on "Friends," he says. Greene: They wrote it after lead singer Darius Rucker lost a close member of his family.
