There's a tremendous introduction with the dull name of the general instruction of the Roman missile. But there's wonderful stuff in there, very condensed and official statements of what the church believes and understands about each part of the mass. You want to read something really remarkable and train yourselves to participate with greater understanding in the Eucharistic prayer. The first of all is when the priest says the Lord be with you, lift up your hearts, let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
