I've been very, very fortunate in my ability to carve out my own path, but it's come with te price. My experience as a mam with care giving rolls has really determined a lot of where i'm allowed to be and not be within the art museum world. I think being able to escape or resist, or push back against internalized patriarchs is about recognizing that our struggles are acted. We always say that motherhood is myriad. But it is also something that is so multi facited. And i don't know anybody who hasn't at some point mothered or been mothered or benefited in some way, or offered that.
