Tardegrades were on board the israeli space mission that crashed onto the moon. Researchers wanted to find out if they could have survived a crash landing there. They fed them moss and some mineral water, then froze them for a couple of days. Then fired them out of a guno k, i'm guessing is that to simulate crashing on the moon. And it seems that the upper limit that they could survive was 900 meters per second.
