The western idea that ukrane should not make any kind of concessions and should just insist on doing what it was doing before seems to me deeply irresponsible. But i do also think that, as you mentioned, like this war was really going to consolidate opinion behind nato membership. So my fear is that these russian preconditions for a cease fire are not going to be met either by the ukranian government or populace. And so wer gaing to have a failed cease-fire.
