The Fallacy of Government-Funded Research
There was another element that I forgot to mention. This topic of if it's government funded you shouldn't make a big profit out of it, which is crazy. The symbiosis has been working. We have phenomenal drugs in the past five, ten years that have come to market. That money goes back in terms of royalties to the institutions and it funds more research for them...and it's working. Because as Joshua Echten says, there are some drugs that have become extremely high price and that conversation has to happen.
