Do You Have Any Good Arguments About Brand Names?

Names that are built around a generic are very difficult to protect, as oakley found out when it tried to stop le farms using pure ote. A lot of people avoid branding and designing in stuf not only because they not know of it, but also because they are afraid it would constrain their creativity. I've had clients who came wanting a totally descriptive name, and who've ended up choosing something totally distinctive for themselves.
