Devon: I think a good place to start since we were talking about birth of tragedy is how representation functions there and kind of use that as a jumping off point. The idea is that the Apollonian represents, you know, this term he takes from Schopenhauer, the principle of individuation. And by contrast, the Dionysian represents a kind of moment of intoxication where the boundaries between individual things flow together. We create representations in an effort to cope with and justify suffering. This is a function of the world of power.
