The Fear of Buddhism

I have a feeling that most people fall kind of on a superficial level and then mix it with Shintoism. I don't think that probably a lot of New Age's get into this idea of all the different realms like in Buddhism there's like nine realms of hell or something. The Dalai Lama is always saying you know we have to have compassion for all sentient beings but when Westerners hear that they think well he's talking about people and animals. That's what I would thinkYeah yeah what he is saying is he's including all those non-human beings like the hungry ghosts and the semi-divine beings of the half deities half half human because that's actually not a desirable state
