How to Improve Your Jujitsu Performance
You need to do this for, in my opinion, two reasons. One, to better your jujitsu, but two, to protect yourself against injury. Injury is what cuts the journey short and just takes the fun out of jujitsu when you're in pain. I would say that people who have already a habit around being strong, practicing their strength, stretching, looking after their body, essentially, these people get injured less. And arguably as you get older, you're not going to be able to maintain high output training for the majority of the week. Just do enough to get a really good benefit.
