The Witch Trials in Salem

After five hangings in July, there were five more in August. George Barrows was one of the few men executed for witchcraft during these trials. He recited the Lord's prayer just before his hanging, which wasn't something that witches were supposed to be able to do. Martha Corey misheard certain questions asked of her by the court and gave answers that seemed to paint her as being a witch. She was duly found guilty and executed.
