"I write the stories because I have this imaginative setting that I have been working on for, oh what, over 20 years now. And so I write these, I find places in the imagined history and in the imagined cultures where interesting things are happening," Yacut says. "And I then write stories about those interesting things knowing that then I have cleverly tricked my readers into learning a bunch of things about the culture that I invented."
