The Stamp Act and the Revolutionary War

The fight over the stamp act very nearly broke the revolutionary wave a decade earlier than it finally did. The pattern of colonial assemblies issuing strong resolutions, organize mobs targeting enemies of liberty and form non importation packs all culminating with a pan colonial alliance to organize collective resistance. While this is all going to get rep ad in the 17 seventies, though by that point the british will be done backing down, and the revolutionary war will finally break out. But that is still a ways down the road.
