Milton Friedman's arguments, I started to realize are far more nuanced than many of us think. And in Martin's piece, he really does make a nuanced argument. He basically is critiquing Milton Friedman's specific belief that companies have a responsibility just to operate within the quote unquote rules of the game. So proponents of Friedman's view have to then advocate for insiliary causes like maybe nationalism or culture wars and so on.
