In spite of our sin and the fact that we are fallen, God promises new life and resurrection to us. And this is the theme constantly throughout the Bible. They are over and over again passages that show judgment and then resurrection. In chapter 22 we come again to this idea of resurrection faith. The dead womb has given forth a child. Abraham, mighty father who was embarrassed for a hundred years because he didn't even have any children, now has become Abraham, father of a multitude with one child.
