Companies that are based in the united states but that are also operating in china are struggling to comply with values that are fundamentally at odds. The natural response of these companies whose fiduciary responsibility is to maximize profits by operating in the world's two largest markets has been to try to straddle this divide. And i think you're already seeing out today, particularly companies in sensitive tech areas.
