This is definitely winter star's time and it's actually been pretty cold recently for all of us. Orion is really standing high above the southern horizon, encircled by this so-called winter hexagon of bright stars. On the 22nd of January, Venus and Saturn will be just a third of a degree apart low in the southwest after sunset. And finally, I don't want to jinx it because this has happened to me twice before but we might just have a naked eye comet on the way.
