The Impossible Vision of the Sea

The impossible vision of the sea before them, that only way forward, even though it was blocked, became the threshold for God to do his most miraculous and powerful work yet. There, this red sea or the sea of reeds was their baptism into a miracle that only Yahweh could do. The red sea was their invitation, the impossible situation, to trust God and to allow their souls to first be delivered before their bodies were delivered.
