Tolkien Helped Lewis Connect Reason and Imagination Together

Tolkien helped Lewis to see that we shouldn't think of reason and imagination as watertight compartments. Tolkien expressed this in a poem called Mythopoyea, the making of myth which he seems to have dedicated to someone who initially thought myths were awful. The idea of incarnation brings all these things together into a coherent whole is integral to Lewis's vision of Christianity.
