Milton's Memoir of a Puritan in Rome

There's a moment of Milton meeting Galileo at this time. Why is he going to Italy? Why is he like it so much? It's very curious because Milton hates Catholics or Catholicism. But he seems to do fine in Rome. He has a little bit of a difficulty with somebody he's staying with for a while who says, "It was nice having you"
