Archaeologists have known about the henge, a place called durrington walls for centuries. It's still huge to day, even after four thousand years of ploughing and erosion. What it was built around and on top of is more impressive still. Durrington walls was once a settlement covering more than forty two acres,. filled with square houses littered with neolithic trash from feasts gatherings that involved thousands of people from all over britain. Two huge timber circles, like stonehenge, but built of wood instead, dominated its central area.
