ERCOT is an island grid, not connected to the Eastern or Western connection. When supplies are low, they can rely on imports from neighboring balancing authorities. On these extreme days, for example, we saw prices go to close to $5,000 per megawatt. What does this mean for retail customers like you and me? That's a really interesting question.
