The Legend of Humbaba

A monster was known to the citizens of Urak, a beast called Humbaba. When Gilgamesh suggested to Ankidu that the two men face the monster in combat, even the Dauntless Ankidu was skeptical. The battle was quick and decisive, and Shumash aided the warriors by assaulting the monster with thirteen winds. when it was over, Humbaba pleaded for his life, but Gilgamesh killed him.
