The argument would be used to make the case that you are supposed to pursue particular goods. The problem is that I think it has an equivocal middle term, and so if you're going to have a full concept of human nature, you need to have that moral content already there. And moving the other direction is troublesome, problematic. So perhaps after me, William can explain why he may or may not like what it is that I've said.
