The Magic of the Trees
Dreaming in general seems to be a strong thematic element to the where would mythos will say. Bran distinguishes his wolf dreams from tree dreams early on as he's just discovering his gifts then. The idea that Bran can taste the blood in his wolf dreams will be parallel later when he tastes blood through the trees. In fact blood ravens introduction is before them a pale lord in Evan finery sat dreaming in a tangled nest of roots.
