With the prospect of this war escalating to bring in other countries and then having China siding with Russia because it's been framed as a war against the West, sounds terrifying, frankly. As a child of the 1980s, having spent a whole decade worrying about old men in the US and the USSR firing nukes at each other, it is a terrifying prospect.
