The Importance of Confessional Theology in Evangelical Commentaries

The lack of confessional theology in evangelical commentary today represents a significant weakness which does no service to the church. In our fragmented over individualized culture, there is a desperate need for a unified theology. Evangelicals believe that scripture, though multi-authored ultimately speaks with one voice out of the living God. And if evangelical commentators are to help us to do this, they must recover confidence in the unified message of the Bible.
