The Importance of Stage Management in the Making of Jean Kelly
The actress was supposed to make her movie debut in 1964, years before she actually did with a movie that feels very much like her mother. Stage management almost seems to feel how inevitable or pushed or forced that she was going to become a star. Isabella leaning into Death Becomes Her is absolutely also doing the same thing, you know, channeling that ultra glam Louise Brooks who honestly did the same thing.
