There's a deflation of the payments, the compensation in various creative fields that correlates with the mass adoption curve of social media. I think this is part of how we find ourselves in this position. There's now a very strange pairing of these like elite creative industries that are carrying on this mythology of the Bohemian existence where in many decades previous you could kind of go to a major city more or less drop out of society through part time gigs and then do a weird creative project on the side.
