The Central Bank Can't Create Money at Will

One of the problems with fead currency that can be created very easily, is that governments have tended to be spendthrift for a long time. So if a government takes in a lot lessened revenues it pends it needs to make up for that somewhere. Raising taxes is painful. Cutting expenditures is painful. But one thing the government can always do is to ask the central bank to print money to pay for that deficit. Bun that can very quickly erode the value of that money, because people start losing trust in that money. If there is a censor, the government can spend as much as it wants,. and the central bank is going to step in if needed.
