The Importance of Creativity in Emotions
All emotions, not sensations, take ongoing creativity to maintain. In a way, Nietzsche has played a nasty trick on us with our sensations. If you don't have new ideas, it will no longer be fun and you will kind of go off that sensation. Even your very first taste of that is a creative act on your part. And unless you keep exerting creativity, it will wear off.
