Recognizing and Valuing the Essential Work of Caregiving

This chapter explores the often-overlooked contributions of caregivers, particularly mothers, during the pandemic, highlighting the struggle between professional duties and caregiving responsibilities. It calls for greater recognition, compensation, and support for caregivers, especially women of color, to address the undervaluation of domestic labor.
