ECOWAS is insisting that while it is exploring all options and would prefer this end will be issued diplomatically, they are willing to use force. After our recent experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq, I don't see any appetite for boots on the ground other than the thousand or so we already have there. If Western forces lose access to the country, it could take pressure off the insurgents who won't have to worry about French and American bombs or special operatives.
