Is Attachment Like a Verb?

Sally Kohn: It makes evolutionary sense that we're not the largest or the strongest, but perhaps we're the smartest species on the planet. Our ability to communicate and our ability to signal our distress is a key thing that may have put us at a survival advantage from an evolutionary perspective. So if you are an infant that is able to let your caregiver know, hey, there's a problem, I'm not well, and there's something threatening happening to me, this is scary. And then your caregiver picks you up, and you are soothed and comforted by that. Well, that's also rewarding for the caregiver. That's a really clear communication pattern
