The Importance of a Deep Understanding of Human Nature
When we cate incorrectly through the intellect for waking life. It causes people to carry their bones as though the skeleton were in fact a burden, rather than moving flexibly with the soul. Added to this are placcid limbs, overly inclined to combustion. A person gradually becomes like a balloon attached to a log, weighed down by the salts of the body. Yet because of inappropriate inner combustion processes, a person wants to escape from it. We can balance the hardening caused by leading artistic activities to the intellectual if we encourage the kind of combustion that brings deep and peaceful sleep to children. Thus we eliminate the restlessness caused by most modern systems of physical education.
