The People Have a Voice in Almost Everything, Right?
The founders were clearly of a mind that government was really, really dangerous. That's why you have to limit the amount of power it wields. What's more dangerous? The people themselves who are kept at arm's length. There's no great love for democracy and there's alsono great love for the power of government. Both of these things are supreme difficulties that have to be dealt with.
