Are Chestnuts a Nut?
The PTC test is one of the few examples of a human trait which is very binary in its phenotype, in its physical manifestation. People tend to have one or other version of this one gene, which is called TAS2R38. So there's a big genetic influence on everything. Genetics is involved in every single bit of our existences, but it's not deterministic. It's probabilistic. The game is, what is a nut? What do you reckon? Are chestnuts a nut?
