"It's almost as though to take the last bits of data from a law civilization and say, well, they're all like babies. That was just baby talk," he says. "I don't understand how archaeologists square these two things." He adds that part of archaeology is to drain all mystery out of the past. The great pyramids are an incredibly mysterious structure because nobody's ever successfully explained how it was built or even what it means.
