The Importance of Multilateral Perspectives on AI
Nuclear weapons states should agree to some common understanding about human control over nuclear weapons. That seems like a bare minimum bar that we should be able to clear in terms of agreement on areas where human control is needed. We can see in the private sector right now, these interactive dynamics are playing out in some really harmful ways. It's troubling what we're seeing happening with some of these models that are inherently dual use and have a lot of beneficial applications but also potentially really harmful ones.
