I would not recommend leaving from new england For the kribbean. In the fall i'd go south jonah rally leave from virginia or get someone on my boat who did have experience to to run the boat for me. The biggest challenge first time cruisers, um offshore was the lightning storms and our electronics that we were worried about losing.
