Observing Your Thoughts

If you've become stuck on one thought, just take a step back. Be present with this thought without trying to do anything to it. Try to observe it in the same way that you would for anything else that happens outside of your mind. Visualize yourself floating out and above wherever you are right now. See yourself from above, sitting with your thoughts,. perfectly calm, perfectly clear, and engaged and curious about those thoughts too. Each thought offers its own experience. They are simply an occurrence of your existence.
