Quantum computing is going to have a really profound impact on areas where there's already a statistical model of computing being used. One of the most exciting and kind of tantalizing, i think, is this what quantic puting is going to unlock in terms of the ability to truly simulate nature at the lowest levels. From an industrial perspective, the ability to do what you'd think of a simulation driven design of new molecules or new materials isas tantalising as it could be over the next few decades.
