I've always had this sort of mild fantasy about how we could build nuclear solar things on the moon or in space. I realized there were some technical issues. If you could run a R&D fund for the federal government to put X amount of money in that you knew, the high sense of confidence would probably pay off. The Obama administration has invested a lot in nuclear power research. But I don't want a nuclear industry that's constantly dependent on big government handouts to survive.
