Staff Prosthetic Valve Endocarditis - Is There a Role for Refampin?
The Staphylococcus aureus network adaptive platform trial or the SNAP trial has actually been funded to study this question. It's going to be called RIFA SNAP and it will randomize patients with a staff aureus prosthetic valve endocarditis to refampin or no refampin. And so there's more to come on this in the future as the trial was only recently funded, but this trial design I think offers a real opportunity to answer this question in coming years.
